We got to the aviaries early last weekend. Olive has been really into birds lately, so we wanted to get her a good visit to them. We saw this stork right as they were feeding the animals in the morning, and he contentedly posed for several shots.
There were many thistles in full bloom on Mt Laguna recently. I saw this bumblebee moth spending a lot of time with them.
I love the way this flower looks. The red veins on yellow have this intense feeling to them and they taper off in a way that provides a strong sense of directionality.
The morning fog was still prevelant on the botanical garden when I was roaming around with my camera. It feels like a bit of a cliche, but I took several photos along these lines.
